Earpiece volume during a call press Vol Up or down to adjust level
Handset ringer volume when the phone is ringing press Vol up or down to adjust
Mute press Secrecy to mute the sound
Redial press Redial and then up / down to select one of the last 5 dialled numbers
Phone book Storing Press Menu "PHONE BOOK" appears, press Menu "ADD ENTRY" appears, Press Menu, enter the name using the keypad, press Menu then enter the phone number, use up / down to select the melody. If you have caller ID the phone can ring differently according to who is calling. So you could set all family members to ringer 2 and friends to ringer 3 for example.
Dialling from phone book press Phonebook button, use up / down to select then Phone button.
Caller ID use up / down to enter the calls list, use Menu to view the number, date and time of the call. To delete an entry press Clr, Menu or hold Clr to delete all.
Key Lock Hold * for 3 seconds to turn on or off
Registering handsets (any Gap handset any make can be added to this) Hold the base page button for 15 seconds, Press Menu, select "REGISTER", press Menu, select "REG BASE", press Menu, press 1 then enter the base pin (usually 0000).
Answer machine
Setting the time and date Hold Stop until the setting is annouced, use <Skip or Skip > to scroll through the days then press Stop, repeat for the hours and minutes.
Selecting OGM, Hold OGM for 10 seconds then use <Skip or Skip> to set either Answer and Record or Answer Only. In answer only mode the machine will not take messages.
Recording your OGM, hold OGM for 10 seconds then Hold <Skip, Dictate "I'm not here right now so please leave a message after the tone" then release the button. Hold Skip> and dictate "I'm not here right now please call back later, this machine does not take messages" then release button.
To revert back to built in message, hold OGM for 10 seconds, press <Skip or Skip> then press Del.
Answer delay Press Skip>, then Hold Skip> until desired setting is announced then release.
Recording a memo for someone in your house Hold <Skip dictate "The dinner is in the dog" then release the button.
Remote Access Dial your home number, press * when it answers, enter the pin (000). Press 1 to hear the options, 2 to play messages, 3 to play new messages, 4 to repeat last message, 5 to delete current message, 6 to skip forward, 7 to turn machine off.
